Day 1: Arrival – Tbilisi – City Tour

Arrival at Tbilisi Airport. A friendly welcome by our guide, and transfer to hotel. Check – in hotel in Tbilisi.

Tbilisi City Tour

Founded in the 5th c. AD on the site of its hot mineral-water springs, Tbilisi developed into an important political, economic and cultural center of the Middle East. The Old Town is the most attractive part of the city, notable for its wonderful mix of cultures. Here, the mosque, the synagogue, the Armenian and Roman Catholic Churches link harmoniously with Georgian Orthodox churches and architecture.

In the morning pick up from Tbilisi hotel. You will combine walking and driving in old and new districts of Tbilisi, visiting outstanding landmarks of our capital city accompanied by a guide during the tour.

Sightseeing includes Tbilisi Sameba Cathedral, the largest cathedral in the Caucasus, Metekhi Church is erected on the cliff, overlooking the Mtkvari River. The colorful Darejani Palace is also situated on the cliff, like the nest of a swallow. The Sulfur Baths are located in Old Tbilisi, on the other side of the river, opposite Darejani Palace. Narikala fortress, established in the fourth century. Then continue tour by visiting Shardeni street with its fashionable, cozy cafes and art galleries. Visit famous Bridge of Peace. Visit Rustaveli Avenue, main street of the city, passing along the attractions, such as Tbilisi Opera and Ballet theatre, Rustaveli Theatre, different art galleries and cafes.


Day 2: Full Day Trip to Gudauri, Annanuri, & Kazbegi

Breakfast at Hotel. Meet our Tour Guide at Hotel Reception.

Proceed to Ananuri Complex and Gudauri Ski Resort Tour – Kazbegi. Drive to Kazbegi, mountain region. On the way, pass Jinvali water reservoir of amazing beauty. Stop for pictures (10 minutes). Visit Ananuri Castle (stop for 30 minutes). Visit Gudauri Ski Resort and have Leisure Time. Continue driving to Kazbegi and visit Gergeti holy trinity. During this day you can also enjoy following Activities (additional cost applies):

After completing the tour, drive back to Tbilisi.


Day 3: Full Mtskheta – Jvari Church- Gori – Uplistsikhe

In the morning pick up from the hotel. Drive throughout the fertile lands of Kartli Region. We will pass through ancient capital Mtskheta – which presents a living museum with UNESCO World Heritage Site monuments and other architectural landmarks. Visit Gori and the Joseph Stalin’s Museum – where the items related to the dictator’s life are presented.

The ancient temple town Uplistsikhe, translated as the “Fortress of the Lord“, dates back from the 6th c BC and is mentioned in the chronicles of the 1st c AD. It’s located approximately 20 kilometers east of the town Gori. The echoing halls, long meandering corridor-streets, chambers for pagan worship and even the remains of the oldest theatre in Georgia, all carved into the rocky plateau are waiting for you to be explored.

After excursions in Joseph Stalin’s museum and Uplistsikhe, have a lunch at restaurant located nearby (at your own cost).

Drive back to Tbilisi.

Svetitskhoveli Cathedral 11th c-UNESCO site is one of the most sacred places in whole Georgia, with the Christ’s robe preserved in the Cathedral.

Jvari monastery 6th c – UNESCO site is the culmination of a number of artistic and architectural aspirations of an early Georgian Christian architecture.

Joseph Stalin’s Museum – The museum exhibits re-create surreal and revealing scenes from the life of the dictator and include unique photos, gifts and furniture. The house where Stalin was born is preserved under a stone canopy nearby.

Uplistsikhe caves – translated as the “Fortress of the Lord“. The history of Uplistsikhe goes back to the 2nd-1st millennium B.C. In antiquity, the city was one of the most important centers of Kartli and in the middle Ages. It stood on an important trade route that linked Byzantium with India and China. In 10th-16th centuries B.C. one of the strongest communities, residing on this territory used the natural caves for dwellings, later Uplistsikhe became one of the strongest political, cultural, religious and economic centers and the royal residence. The handicrafts made here are of high artistic quality, today kept in the State Art Museum of Georgia.
