Day 1: Muscat – Wadi Shab – Ras al Hadd

Your guide will pick you up from the airport or from your hotel in Muscat and head out to the first destination. After 1 hour and half drive you will reach the Bimah Sinkhole, a geological feature and a scenic wonder. Further on stop for a picture of the white sandy beach of Fins before enter in Wadi Shab. This Wadi is one of the most famous Wadi in Oman, a place where locals and tourists used to go, especially in the summer, to escape from the high temperatures of Muscat. When you reach the entrance of the Wadi, a small boat will allow you to cross the mouth’s river for most of the year full of water. Once you have crossed the river, you just follow the well-signed footpath that will lead you to the refreshing natural pools. Take a bath, relax and enjoy your time. After lunch (lunchbox will be provided) and after baths, but anyway before the dark reaches the Wadi, you will return to the boat and with the car you proceed proceed to Ras al Hadd  a close location to the Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve a unique natural landscape. Ras Al Jinz is world renown for the nesting of the endangered green turtle, probably the most important nesting concentration on the Indian Ocean. Your stay includes Evening / early morning turtle sightseeing.

Day 2: Sur – Wadi Bani Khalid – Wahiba

Starting in the morning from the hotel, with your driver guide, you will reach first the city of Sur. Sur is the main city of Ash Sharqiyah region, and in the past, it was one of the biggest port in Oman, from where the commercial ships raise their anchors to sail to East Africa harbors. Sur is still considered the most important site for the construction of the traditional wooden ships. You will visit one of the last nautical shipyards of the whole Middle East, a great opportunity to look very closely at the handmade construction of this incredible ships. You will reach then Wadi Bani Khalid. A nice road through the Hajar mountains will lead you to surprising views. Follow the Wadi, reach its end the refreshing natural pools. Take a bath, enjoy the panorama, make a short hiking until the small waterfall and relax. After a while return to the car and proceed to Wahiba Sands. Fill the tank with the fuel, put down the air pressure of your tires and be ready for the adventure. You will suddenly leave the asphalt road for the sand dunes. Follow a track, for few kilometers and, you will find soon the higher dunes of Wahiba. Relax and enjoy the dune bashing with our expert drivers, going up and down from the dunes will be for you an amazing experience. As soon as you reach the tented camp, leave your luggage and strait go up to the dunes to enjoy the sunset and than take your dinner at the camp.

Day 3: Wahiba – Nizwa – Muscat

Breakfast at Hotel.

You will leave the sand dunes in the morning after breakfast and you will reach in a couple of hours the city of Nizwa, one of the old Omani capital. Nizwa is famous for its fort, it has a unique large round shape tower with a diameter of 36 meters. After the visit of the fort and the suq where you can see the local vegetables, fruits and fishes, and where you can taste the most famous sweet, the Omani Halwa, take your lunch and slowly return to Muscat.
