Day 1: Arrival in Paris 

Welcome to Paris!  Upon entering the arrivals hall at Paris Charles de Gaulle / Orly Airport, a driver will greet you and transfer you to the first night’s hotel. Our guide will be ready to welcome you and provide the necessary information.

Day 2: Paris sightseeing – Eiffel Tower – Seine river cruise – Latin Quarter

Today enjoy a guided tour to discover the history, main boulevards and breathtaking monuments of Paris. Our sightseeing tour concludes at the Eiffel Tower. You will have the opportunity to climb the second floor of this remarkable monument (regular admission included). Put the finishing touch on a glorious day with a Seine river cruise. The rest of the afternoon is yours to explore Paris further, or kick back and relax! At sunset enjoy dinner in the Latin Quarter, an historic quarter on the Left Bank where a wide variety of international cuisines awaits (own expense)..

Day 3: Paris – Amboise

Transfer to the center of Paris and time at leisure. You have the option of visiting the Louvre Museum (admission not included) or taking a boat trip along the River Seine and exploring the Latin Quarter. At 4:30pm we leave Paris for the Loire Valley, arriving in Amboise in the late afternoon. In addition to being the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci, Amboise boasts a large chateau and a beautiful historic center..

Day 4: Amboise – Bordeaux – Lourdes

We continue our journey through the south of France, traveling through beautiful vineyards to Bordeaux. You’ll be given time for lunch (own expense) and a stroll through this UNESCO World Heritage city. We recommend a visit to Port of the Moon and the Cathedral of St Andrew. Afterward we’ll begin our ascent into the Pyrenees, arriving in Lourdes in the late afternoon. You can attend the candle procession through the end of October, and visit the places of worship. We include dinner at the hotel for all of our guests!.

Day 5: Lourdes – Saint Bertrand – Carcassonne – Andorra

Traveling parallel to the Pyrenees, we’ll make a stop in Saint Bertrand, a medieval village perched precariously on the mountainside, dominated by an immense cathedral. Time for a stroll before going on to Carcassonne, a beautiful walled city. Then we’ll traverse the Pyrenees, climbing between snow-capped summits, ultimately arriving at the small country of Andorra.

Day 6: Andorra – Montserrat – Barcelona

Free time in Andorra la Vella for shopping and exploring. After lunch, we’ll continue to Catalonia, the mountainous countryside leading us to the impressive site of Montserrat Monastery. We’ll take the rack railway up to the top. Following this we’ll continue to Barcelona, arriving in the late afternoon.

Day 7: Barcelona

Today we’ll get to know Barcelona, an impressive city right on the Mediterranean. Our visit includes an informative city tour with a local expert, to the historic center with its Gothic quarter dating back to the Middle Ages. Then we’ll visit the area where the Olympic Games took place, and La Sagrada Familia, the magnificent basilica designed by architect Gaudi (admission not included). Afterwards, we’ll head to Poble Espanyol (Spanish Village). This open air architectural museum is situated in one of the most emblematic areas of Barcelona. Be delighted by the best Spanish craftsmanship and discover the architectural styles, traditions and folklore of the different communities in Spain.

Day 8: Barcelona

After breakfast, our lovely 7-night, 8-day Paris to Barcelona guided tour will come to an end and we’ll say farewell. Airport drop-off service is not included in the display price.
